#86 It is an insect!

It is pretty lonely at 365 Days in Color. I think purple in February was not the best idea... I will keep on, as I find that a challenge like this tickles my creativity... Who knows what I will come up with next?
Talking about creative minds, this is a close-up of a papier mache insect! One of the 4 year olds in my art class made it. Those bits of paper? Legs, of course!

#85 Sunday

Just a relaxing afternoon at home, getting over my cold.

#84 It is cold!

Another staged image... maybe I will do a series of the little guy in different places... what do you think? Will it be cheating? I have a cold, and no desire to look for purple tomorrow... maybe I'll get inspired...

#83 Hibernating

I battled the elements to get this shot! Well, I just walked to my neighbor's front yard because I knew there was this little bit of purple waiting for me.

#82 Marbles

Purple is elusive at best. I went against my nature and "staged" a picture. I like the result. Next time I won't clean the viewfinder, I like the little bits of dust in the image.

#81 Found purple

Purple is an elusive color. It was a true surprise when I found it hiding at the base of an old building. Where will it take me next?

#80 This is the one

This is going to be a challenge. February's color is PURPLE! I see a little bit of purple on this, don't you?

#78 Chandelier bokehliscious

Not as much yellow as in other pics, but it is day 30 of yellow... I want other colors! Not happy with this image as it was taken indoors. I do not like to use the flash, but that leaves me with a longer exposure... did I bring my tripod? No. It is not something I carry with me everywhere. A soft focus is the result of my improvised work.

#77 Cinquecento

Finally my camera and the elusive yellow cinquecento met. Good thing my camera brought along her good friend the duaflex... Some TtV love for you.

#76 For ever

More locks left by lovers, this time on a fence by the lake. So many stories...

#75 Winter ride

A walk by the Varese lake took me to the closed carnival at Schiranna. I am atracted to the abandoned, the old, the used and forgotten objects around us. I let them tell me their implied story.

#74 Mostly sky

My first set of TtV (Through the Viewfinder) images. I finally made the contraption necesary to stop the glare. I use a Kodak duaflex II as my bottom camera, and my Nikon D40 to capture the image on the viewfinder. I don't have a macro lens, but the macro setting does a good job. I am very happy with my first images, more will come.

#73 I want to ride my bike, again

This image was captured in Milan during the Summer... I am missing the sun, the smell of flowers, and most of all, I am missing bikes.

The promise of spring covered in snow. These are the first flowers that bloom in my garden, I can't wait!

#71 Ordinary

A cloudy day, so the yellow is not as bright as it usually is. I see this house everyday on my way home, this is the first time that I found it interesting. It goes to show you that is true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

#69 Via Castello

The sun shinned for a little while this morning and I was ready!
This yellow? I adore this yellow, it is luscious and it brings the best of the shapes in the image. I like this composition, it is not the original one, some cropping occurred this afternoon... what can I say?

In Italy lovers leave locks attached to verandas in beautiful locations, then they loose the key. It is a metaphor for ever after. This lonely lock is nothing of the sorts, a good image, that is what it is.

#67 Hazy sunset

Our daily dose of beauty reminds me that things are always espectacular even though it might not seem so. On those days when clouds hide the view, my job is to remember the clear days, even the hazy days...
